Storytelling and Poetry – 2-hour virtual workshop
April 6 @ 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET
Storytelling and poetry are deeply intertwined. Before there is a poem, there must be a story. To find those stories and poems, we must be willing to dive into our memories and allow ourselves to play with words and see their power. In this experiential workshop, published storyteller and poet Diana Medina will guide you through the process of creating a story and a poem about the same moment. By the end of the two hour workshop you will have a draft of each. Absolutely everyone is welcome; no prior experience is needed. Captioning will be provided.

Immigrant Storytelling Workshop – 2-hour in-person workshop
Session 1: April 26 @ 4:30 PM
Session 2: April 26 @ 7:00 PM
The immigrant experience is unique, beautiful, and diverse with its share of joy and challenges. This 2-hour in-person workshop is intended for those who identify as immigrants with the intention of creating a space where we can come together, reflect on our experiences, and share our stories. During the workshop, you will be guided through activities and reflective prompts to support you in discovering your own true stories and finding your own voice and meaning in them. You will then have the opportunity to share your story aloud (if you choose) in a compassionate and safe space. There are two sessions, but you only need to enroll in one!
