Vita spends her days telling herself to work on her dissertation even though most of her time is usually spent teaching undergraduates how to write and cuddling with her 5 pet chickens. At night, she can be found doing improv comedy for crowds of adoring fans or dancing the night away. (Ok, so maybe the “crowds of adoring fans” thing is a little exaggerated, but Vita believes that bios can be aspirational…). She believes storytelling is at the heart and intersection of her roles as scientist, teacher, and comedian and loves using storytelling to make her science more engaging, to empower her students to discover their voices, and to entertain audiences with her wealth of ridiculousness.
