Shein is a storyteller, science communicator, and educator. She holds a Masters degree in Biology from Stanford University and currently works in scholarly communication, helping to make science accessible and equitable. Originally from Myanmar, she grew up writing silly rhymes for her friends. Her poetry career peaked when she wrote her first poem in English, “An Ode to Potatoes”. Thankfully, she discovered storytelling classes and story slams during the pandemic and hasn’t looked back since.
