Ravin Pan

Ravin is a professor at Sacramento State with a Ph.D in Education. He has been an educator for the past two decades. His journey began as a mathematics teacher at Mobaye High School, Central African Republic with the Peace Corps and he later took a teaching position with Detroit Public School. After his doctorate, Ravin relocated to Sacramento where he was the mathematics coordinator for the Learning Skills Center at Sacramento State. He has been the lead author for two high school mathematics textbooks and his passion is to continue to improve how math is taught in schools by providing professional development for prospective and veteran teachers. He has been an avid supporter of Capital Storytelling since the very first class held on campus at Sacramento State in 2018. When not working on curriculum, Ravin can be found tinkering at home or on the field playing ultimate.
