John is a Professor of Geography and Environmental Sciences at American River College in Sacramento, CA.  He has been an undying supporter of storytelling since 2019. He is not only deeply embedded in Capital Storytelling’s community, but also frequently appears on other storytelling platforms including The Moth, RISK, Story Collider, Six Feet Apart Productions, and Artists Standing Strong Together.  In addition to storytelling, John’s other interests include movies, hiking, fly fishing, and volunteering in his community. He has served on the board since 2022.
