Dong has lived and worked with vulnerable and marginalized communities, immigrants, survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, the homeless, people living in remote areas, and people living with trauma after disasters and accidents. And from these experiences, she has lived and seen how many people have succeeded, because of their tireless efforts, the unselfish support of the community and the energy of the universes. She has come to realize that America is not only a land of glamour but also a land of deep pain. Yet everyone here carries the American dream. Everyone started somewhere. And every story matters.

Her hope is to teach storytelling to those often unheard, so they can find strength in their own voice. How lucky we are to still be able to sit down together and say, “This is what I went through. This is what I learned. And this is how I survived, with resilience, with hope, and with life.”
