Baljit Atwal
Story Ambassador 2025
Baljit Atwal, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist, storyteller, and founder of the Psychology Assessment Resource Center (PARC), a psychological corporation based in Rocklin, CA. She immigrated to the United States from India at the age of six and considers herself a blend of Asian and American culture—an identity that informs both her clinical work and worldview.
Baljit is deeply committed to supporting storytelling as a powerful tool for healing, connection, and social change. She helps people reclaim their voices and honors stories as bridges to personal insight, empathy, and collective understanding. Her work emphasizes the beauty of shared humanity across cultural and individual differences—reminding us that everyone’s story matters.
With a deep curiosity about what shapes human behavior, Baljit approaches her work through an integrative lens—drawing from biological, psychological, and cultural perspectives. This multidimensional view allows her to explore the inner lives of others with both compassion and nuance, and to foster meaningful growth at the personal, interpersonal, and societal levels.
“Storytelling is both art and inheritance—a beautiful way we pass on truth, memory, and meaning from heart to heart, and across the many divides that separate us—cultural, generational, gender, language, and beyond.”
