Join us for our monthly virtual Community Story Lab (formerly known as our Open Mic)! The event is at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET. Sign up to share a 5-8 minute story or just show up and listen as an audience member! This is a one-of-a-kind event! It is one-part games, one-part open mic, and one-part master class. During the first hour, we play interactive storytelling games with the audience and listen to stories from people who sign up beforehand as well as a few on-the-spot volunteers. In the second hour, we discuss the stories and talk about structure, delivery, tension, meaning– all of the story components– and give supportive feedback in a masterclass-style session that everyone can benefit from. This is a compassionate and safe environment. The event is intended to be a space where you can come and listen to stories, learn more about yourself, others, and storytelling, and have a chance to flex your own storytelling muscles if you choose!
Suggested donation: $5-10. Donations are greatly appreciated to help us cover the costs of hosting story labs.
