Capital Storytelling

Capital Storytelling facilitated a wonderful and moving storytelling workshop… We had planned a faculty retreat that would be primarily restorative and reflective with an emphasis on well-being and connection…  You could feel the tension lift as we moved through the workshop. One of my colleagues summarized it best when he turned to me at the end of the session and said ‘that was just perfect.’  A connection with ourselves, and a connection with each other. Just what we needed.

Telling [my] story on stage was probably one of the harder things I have done in life…but I really grew a lot and understood myself from the process… it’s also one of the most important things I have done.

By far it has been one of the most powerful experiences I have had…Capital Storytelling allows for a space of no judgement where you can really dissect and connect deeper with humanity

Three words that come to mind when I think about Capital Storytelling: warm, connect, relatable.

Engagement and community. That’s what you get with Capital Storytelling.

I’ve been to all of the Capital Storytelling events and I love them…You get a raw slice of the experiences of the storytellers and I always walk away with lessons learned and new thoughts about the world. It’s an eye-opening experience and a kind of celebration of humanity.

A safe, inclusive, and affirming space… I knew I was in the right place! It gave me the confidence to be a storyteller with my own unique narrative style.

I loved the class… We started off as a group of strangers and by the end of it we were a supportive community. I really trusted them with my story which felt truly special.
