DESCRIPTION:October 23\, October 30\, & November 6 @ 2:00 – 4:00 PM \nLocation: A Seat at the Table Bookstore\, 9257 Laguna Springs Suite 130\, Elk Grove\, CA \nStorytelling is the heart of who we are as humans. It connects us and gives meaning to the events in our lives. In this 3-week workshop\, participants will be guided through activities to help them discover and reflect on the stories in their lives and give them practice sharing those stories in a safe and supportive space. In week 1\, you will be guided through reflective activities to uncover the often hidden but uniquely “you” stories from your past and then you will be guided in how to shape those stories. In weeks 2 and 3\, you will have the opportunity to tell your stories in front of the small group to get compassionate and supportive feedback and to build confidence\, oral narrative skills\, and public speaking skills.  Come learn about the basics of true personal storytelling in a fun\, empowering\, and safe space! \nCost is $65 \nEveryone is welcome. You will be guided through reflective activities to help you discover your own unique stories and be guided in how to shape those stories. We’ll have an optional story sharing time as well. Come learn about the basics of true personal storytelling in a fun\, compassionate\, safe space! \nCost is $15. Attendees will receive a $10 voucher from both A Seat at the Table bookstore and Capital Storytelling! To participate\, just show up on the day and time of the event and pay at the door.
