September 3, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

donation

September 3 @ 5 PM PST (VIRTUAL!)

Join us on September 3 for our virtual Open Mic event!  Sign up to share a 5-8 minute story or just show up and listen as an audience member! Storytellers also get a chance to hear feedback from experienced story coaches if they choose and discuss their story with the audience.

This month we are excited to welcome Mae Flores as our guest storyteller! Mae is an award winning Filipina-American actress turned speaker and global-community advocate. As a survivor of sexual assaults, Mae has turned her adversity into power and has won various global humanitarian service awards for her fervent efforts from the likes of EuropeAid, United Nations Women, the United Nations & the WNBA for the work she does to advocate for those who have survived sexual violence in Chicago and around the globe. Mae is a proud mother to two young men and is the producer of various projects that focus on storytelling, art and healing like the monthly show at The Green Room Social Club called ‘The Limelight’ and ‘Tannin Tales’ at The Wine Smith, both in Placerville, California. Mae will share a story along with our 4 open-mic sign up participants this month! Join us!
